This course will help administrators and the School Site Executive, who is responsible for managing the school’s My10yearPlan.com account. Participants will understand not only the functionality of the website, but also the concepts of why this effort is important. With this background, they are in a better position to solicit the buy-in necessary for success from all instructors and advisors in the school. In addition, they will be in a better position to provide the professional development and coaching on use of the tools. |

- A thorough understanding of My10yearPlan.com and how to implement and manage the online tool
- How to use the online option for the pre- and post-course survey for assessing the impact of the Career Choices course
- The textbooks and internet enhancements that make up the Career Choices curriculum
- Why classroom-based comprehensive guidance is needed and how Career Choices can help provide a life-changing experience for students
- The secret to dropout prevention programs that work
- Strategies for the development of a 10-year education and career plan
- A review of the academic and internet enhancements available with the Career Choices curriculum
- Strategies for creating buy-in for and implementing a Freshman Transition course and school-wide initiative using Career Choices
- Techniques for developing an online Career Portfolios
- How to incorporate an online career exploration tool into the Career Choices curriculum
- Strategies for upgrading all counseling and advisory functions throughout a student’s four years in high school using My10yearPlan.com

Methods of Evaluating Student Performance
- Each online module has a required five-question assessment that must be completed with 100 percent accuracy
- Completion of the project-based learning assignments, as noted above
