For PDU courses that include attendance at a workshop
For PDU courses that are delivered entirely online and do not include attendance at a workshop
PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP:
- Review the course description, outline, practicum and online training requirements along with the course guide with grade evaluation details. You’ll find this information linked to each course.
- Print out the three registration documents. Once you decide to register for the course, print out the documents for that specific course, complete the information, and take them with you to the workshop:

- Attend the workshop. At the workshop the trainer will sign your Workshop Attendance Validation Form at the beginning of the workshop and at the end to verify attendance at the entire workshop. The trainer will ask all individuals registering for PDU units to remain after class for a few minutes for signatures and questions.
- Complete and mail/fax forms. You’ll then complete the Brandman University Registration Form and the Academic Innovations’ Online Training Videos Registration Form and process each of them as per the directions on the specific form.

You’ll receive notification from Brandman University of your registration. You may begin your practicum hours prior to receiving notification from the University. |

Allow 10 working days from the receipt of Academic Innovations' Online Training Videos Registration Form for processing of The Teachers' Lounge registration for the training videos assigned to a specific course. This step enables you to document successful completion of all the videos and assessments; this document can be printed and sent to Brandman University. An email will be sent to you by Academic Innovations upon completion of The Teachers' Lounge registration process. |
- It is expected that all work on the follow-up practicum assignments and online training videos will be completed and all necessary documentation submitted to Brandman University, as outlined in the course guide, no later than 120 days from the registration email notification date. If you require extra time, see FAQ for suggestions.

*If a course includes online training videos, membership in the Career Choices Teachers' Lounge is required. It is here that the online training videos along with the assessment functions are found. For details on membership click here.
- If your school is already a member of The Teachers' Lounge, you can complete your registration process when you send in Academic Innovations' Online Training Videos Registration Form.
- If your school is not a member but your school qualifies for membership, you can complete that process as you register with Academic Innovations.
- If you school is not a member of The Teachers' Lounge because it has not yet adopted the Career Choices curriculum (see membership details), you have two options:

1. Complete your paperwork, getting required signatures at the workshop you attend. Hold on to those documents and then when your school’s paperwork/invoice has been received by Academic Innovations, complete the registration process. |

2. For workshop participants whose school has not yet adopted, a special 4 month membership to The Teachers' Lounge at a per person charge of $39 is an option. If a qualifying invoice is received by Academic Innovations for the purchase of Career Choices textbooks, the participant can request a refund by faxing in this form. The refund form must be received within six months of the invoice date. |
